About the event
Yuxuan Zhao is a 20-year old pianist from China. He is currently studying for his undergraduate degree at the RNCM. Yuxuan was awarded a full scholarship and Living Grant by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) to study at the RNCM with Professor Graham Scott. In his first year of study at the RNCM, Yuxuan won First Prize in the UK Appelbe Piano Prize and the RNCM’s Mark Ray Recital Prize. He also earned Third Prize at the Birmingham International Piano Competition.
Yuxuan has played throughout the UK including cities such as London, Newcastle, Manchester and Chester. He has also performed Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 3, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No 2 and Mozart’s Piano Concerto K 271.
Yuxuan has a series of forthcoming engagements this year including a concerto by Tchaikovsky.
