FIONA GOULD
Fiona grew up playing piano and flute from a young age, being awarded Darlington Young Musician of the Year in 1996 and earning distinctions in grade 8 piano and ARSM.
After completing a BA in Chinese, and pursuing a career in primary teaching, she then had a break to raise her family, playing piano for her own enjoyment and with her 2 sons. She now teaches piano in schools as well as privately in evenings and at weekends.
In recent years, she has enjoyed taking part in masterclasses with Murray McLachlan and Adam Johnson, and has achieved her dipABRSM in piano teaching. Under the tuition of David Murray, Fiona achieved distinction in her LTCL piano performance last year. She’s now on the path to take her FTCL, which is the highest diploma on offer by Trinity.
NEIL MORTON
Neil has worked as a classroom teacher for over 20 years and now teaches Piano at the Yamaha Music School. He studied music at university, obtaining his Bachelor degree from York and his Masters from Newcastle. Neil continues to work as a musical director and accompanist for soloist and music groups in the local area.
