Our Story
Our community Wind band was established in September of 2024, with a wide range of performers joining from week one to create some fun and music. It quickly became a hub of like minded adults and children with a real sense of community. Every week new players are joining and loving the experience of creating music together. We now have over 30 players over a wide range of instruments!
All of our players range in standard from Grade 3 through to Grade 8 standard and we try to cater for each individual. Music is varied in standard in style from playing pop music such as 'Living on a Prayer' and 'Coldplay in concert' to 'The nutcracker Suite'. The group plan to change repertoire each term to give variation, but perhaps keeping on some of our favourites!
The band have already been booked to perform for the Blyth Christmas light switch on and are planning concerts now for 2025. The hope is to perform around 3-4 concerts per year, so if you cant make one you may make the next.
We would love more players to join us, so if you are interested then please contact us and you can try the first session free of charge.

To sign up we will need you to complete a new student form and set up your payments through GoCardless. Payments for the Wind Band are split into 12 monthly payments of £12 for Adults and £6 for Juniors (16 and under).
